 Emerging infections present significant challenges to human health.
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU)
in Emerging and Zoonotic Infections is a partnership
between the University of Liverpool and Public Health England (PHE)
in collaboration with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

This Annual Conference for the NIHR HPRU will give the opportunity to hear from
key investigators working on Zika and other emerging infections, with keynote talks from:

 
Dr Patricia Sequeira, Laboratório de Flavivírus,
Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, Brazil
‘The FioCruz response to the Zika outbreak’

and

Dr Alain Kohl, MRC Programme Leader,
MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research
‘Zika virus interactions with host cells’
