Training for involvement and engagement

Some might be familiar with patient and public involvement and engagement, for others it might be a completely new experience.  There is considerable support and training available online.  An overview of various helpful guides and toolkits can be found in the PPIE repository.  Below you will find a diverse selection of online and recorded training that will help you in your involvement and engagement journey.

There are also many organisations that arrange training in public involvement and engagement, both online and in person.  Your host university might organise these, so make sure to look for it on your intranet.  Additionally, the NIHR HPRU EZI will provide training in the field, if you have any specific needs or ideas for training, please contact the team at hpruezi@liverpool.ac.uk.  The National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement has an overview of organisations that provide training and deliver their own.  The Twitter page of @NIHRinvolvement also regularly promotes training opportunities in patient and public involvement.  A final website to keep an eye on is the "Learning For Involvement" website.
