HPRU-EZI Patient & Public Engagement Working Group Meeting

NIHR HPRU-EZI PPIE Working Group held a virtual meeting on  6th July 2021.  This group has been heavily involved with helping developing our Patient and Public Involvement Strategy.  The members bring unique and diverse experience and enthusiasm to advise on HPRU-EZI about many aspects of our research. 

One member of the group kindly volunteered to take part on the interview board for the selection of a new PPIE Officer. We are very grateful for their generous support and valuable insights.

Various topics were discussed at the meeting including:- 1) the role and purpose of the PPIE working group, 2) achieving greater diversity and broadening the reach of our research 3) Encouraging and evaluating bursary applications, 4) monitoring impact. 

We will be working with our new PPIE officer once appointed to evaluate and implement the suggestions and advice of the PPIE working group over the coming months.
