Training is an integral part of building capacity in Emerging and Zoonotic infections research. We aim to develop staff capacity and capability as well as maintaining sufficient resources infrastructure to apply improved methodologies to future public health delivery.
Training Courses:
We provide training courses to all HPRU Staff and Students in the following areas:

The HPRU offers a unique range of University–UKHSA doctoral projects which utilise UKHSA data, samples and expertise alongside academic and UKHSA joint supervision. During the course of their studentships, they are enrolled in the Unit's Academic Career Development Programme. More details on this and the topics covered can be found here.
- Vocational Masters and short course training
We offer MRes registration and training in relevant basic disease biology. - Clinical training

To strengthen the critical mass of expertise, this HPRU provides national training for clinical staff to raise awareness of the zoonotic and biological threats with remote online learning and scenario planning. - International Programmes
