UKHSA Research Management and Knowledge Division workshop - 14th November 2023 (2:30-4:30pm)

The UKHSA  would like to invite you to attend our UKHSA pre-conference workshop World Café: Considerations for knowledge mobilisation and demonstrating impact of research, evidence and knowledge

Workshop aims are to: 

  • Facilitate insight into attendees’ experiences (good and bad) of knowledge mobilisation (KMb) and planning for impact
  • Increase confidence in, and ability to, plan for KMb approaches to increase the impact of research, evidence and knowledge, a core value of the UKHSA Science Strategy
  • Provide in-person networking opportunities

Attendees will discuss questions such as: 

  • What KMb activities we have found to be most successful for increasing the impact of research, evidence and knowledge?
  • What are the challenges that we face when attempting to mobilise knowledge from research and evidence?
  • How can we evidence the impact of research?

Workshop discussions will feed into service planning and inform guidance on KMb that will be shared.

How to influence Parliament - Policy Impact Training - 22nd November 2023 (2:30-4:30pm)

This Policy Impact Training event is taking place on Wednesday 22nd Nov at the Hope Street Hotel. The session will be led by Sarah Carter-Bell, Knowledge Exchange Manager, Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology.

This session is open to all research staff who want to engage in policy translational opportunities and may be most useful for those research staff at an early career stage. This full day and in-person event will allow researchers to learn more about how to engage with UK parliament and to understand more about Select Committees, Parliamentary Libraries and Routes to Engagement.
