PPI bursary 2023 rolling funding call
This bursary scheme is now closed.
The HPRU EZI has opened applications for PPI bursaries from PDRAs, fellows, and PhD students at the Unit. These bursaries are available to support public and patient involvement activities within any and all stages of the research cycle of applicants. A maximum award of £1,100 will be available in each instance.
This is a rolling funding call for this round of applications. Applications will be accepted at any time before the 8th of December 2024 at 11:59pm. Applications will be reviewed by the PPIE working group. The next review meetings will be in March 2024, unless there is a significant number of applications in which case earlier reviews may be possible.
Eligibility
HPRU EZI PhD students, PDRAs, or Research Fellows at any stage of their projects, who have not previously been awarded the bursary, are welcome to apply.
What is covered
A total of £1,100 will be made available for each application. Applications involving involvement activities will be accepted, however engagement activities will not be covered by this bursary. This includes (but not exclusively) setting up patient advisory panels, focus groups, surveys/questionnaires, and interviews. Examples of activities not included are dissemination activities such as science festivals.

Application process
The bursary application form should be completed and submitted to the PPIE lead at ashleigh.cheyne@ndm.ox.ac.uk at any time by Friday 8th of December at the latest date, but applications can be submitted at any time.
Bursary application forms will be reviewed by the PPIE working group and PPIE lead before announcement of the outcome.
